If you have a ticket for a EURO match, you are entitled to a 36-hour ticket at no extra cost. The 36-hour ticket is only available via the Fan Pass in the EURO 2024 app: You can use the ticket from 6am on match day until 6pm the following day to travel to and from the venues in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen. The 36-hour ticket is valid throughout the [VRR](https://www.vrr.de/en/tickets-fares/tariff-zones-regions-fare-categories/#c672) (Düsseldorf, Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen) and [VRS](https://www.vrs.de/der-vrs/verbundraum) (Cologne) areas. For example, you can travel free of charge by public transport from Bochum if you are attending a match in Cologne! ### Are you on your way to the public viewing and would like to use the bus or train? FAQ 36-hour ticket ------------------ ### Everything you need to know at a glance! #### What is the 36-hour ticket? The 36-hour ticket is your ticket for local public transport and offers you the opportunity to travel to the UEFA EURO 2024 matches in a convenient and environmentally friendly way. The 36-hour ticket is only available in the Fan Pass within the UEFA EURO 2024 app. #### Who receives the 36-hour ticket? The 36-hour ticket is available to anyone with a ticket for the UEFA EURO 2024 matches via the Fan Pass. #### When is the 36-hour ticket valid? The 36-hour ticket is valid from 06:00 on the respective match day until 18:00 on the following day and is only displayed in the UEFA EURO 2024 app as soon as the 36-hour period begins. You can then use the ticket for the outward and return journey to the stadium. #### Where can I travel with the 36-hour ticket? People with a ticket for the matches in Gelsenkirchen, Dortmund, Düsseldorf and Cologne can travel to and from the match venue in the [VRR](https://www.vrr.de/en/tickets-fares/tariff-zones-regions-fare-categories/#c672) and [VRS area](https://www.vrs.de/) if they access the 36-hour ticket via the Fan Pass within the UEFA EURO 2024 app. The 36-hour ticket is valid for a return journey in 2nd class. For example, they may use all local transport vehicles within the VRR, i.e. buses, trams, city and underground trains as well as S-Bahn, regional trains and 2nd class regional express trains. The ticket is not valid on long-distance services (e.g. ICE, IC, EC, Eurostar, etc.). Private providers such as FlixTrain are also excluded from use. #### How do I get the 36-hour ticket? The ticket is integrated in the so-called Fan Pass, which is available in the UEFA EURO 2024 app. To obtain the Fan Pass, you must download the official [tournament app](https://de.uefa.com/euro2024/app/). The 36-hour ticket is shown at the beginning of the 36-hour validity period and disappears when it expires. #### Where is the 36-hour ticket displayed? The ticket will only be displayed in the Fan Pass of the official UEFA EURO 2024 app. #### I have several tickets for different people. Who is the 36-hour ticket valid for? The Fan Pass shows the number of valid tickets. The use of the 36-hour ticket corresponds to the number of tickets. #### I am going to different games in different cities. Where can I travel with the 36-hour ticket? With your 36-hour ticket, you may only travel within the respective network area of the venue. NRW is an exception: Here you can travel with your ticket in the [VRR](https://www.vrr.de/en/tickets-fares/tariff-zones-regions-fare-categories/) and [VRS area](https://www.vrs.de/der-vrs/verbundraum). So if you attend a match in Gelsenkirchen one day and a match in Cologne the next, you can travel in both areas. The Fan Pass will display a 36-hour ticket for both match days - there may be overlaps between the time periods. #### What happens if I don't have Internet? No need to worry! You can also access the Fan Pass without the internet, as long as it has been fully downloaded at least once beforehand. It is best to make sure that you download the Fan Pass in good time before the game. #### Can I also travel 1st class with the 36-hour ticket? No, the 36-hour ticket only entitles you to use 2nd class. To use 1st class, an additional ticket must be purchased for each journey and person and validated at the start of the journey. No, the 36-hour ticket is only valid for ticket holders. #### Is the 36-hour ticket transferable? No, the 36-hour ticket is personalised in the Fan Pass and cannot be passed on. If you pass on your ticket and re-personalise it, the 36-hour ticket is automatically passed on. #### How do I get to the stadiums with the 36-hour ticket if I do not live in the VRR network area? If you are not travelling from the VRR or VRS area, please find out in advance about your individual travel options.
