Tips for smooth bike transport ------------------------------ ### How bicycle transport works in the VRR - Taking your bike with you is ideal for flexible travelling. As a general rule, please enquire in advance with your (railway) transport company about the respective regulations for taking bicycles with you. With the [Ticket2000](https://www.vrr.de/de/tickets-tarife/ticketuebersicht/ticket2000/) the carriage is included in the ticket. Depending on the frequency of bicycle transport and the area of validity, there are various ticket options: for occasional journeys, one month or as a monthly subscription. You can find an [overview of the bicycle tickets](#c248688) above. #### Can I take a bicycle to Venlo or Cologne? Yes, it is possible to take your bike to Venlo or Cologne. You can buy the [VRR-FahrradTicket](#c248688) for the journey to Venlo. To take your bike to Cologne, you will need the [24hFahrradTicket NRW](#c248688) Alternatively, you can simply travel with [eezy.nrw](https://www.vrr.de/en/tickets-fares/eezynrw/) and book the bike there in the VRR app. #### Is there a day or monthly ticket for bicycles? Yes, both are available. You can find an [overview of the bicycle tickets](#c248688) above. The [VRR-FahrradTicket](#c248688) is valid for 24 hours after validation, so it can also be used over two days if necessary. #### Can I reserve space for my bicycle, and what are the conditions for transporting it? In principle, bicycles can only be transported if the available capacity and space permit. Wheelchair users or pushchairs have priority. There is no general entitlement or reservation for bicycle transport. When travelling with [eezy.nrw](https://www.vrr.de/en/tickets-fares/eezynrw/) in the VRR, indicate that you are taking a bicycle with you each time you check in to the VRR app - provided that all journeys are made within the 24-hour period. The price for taking a bike with you will only be charged once, regardless of how many journeys you make within this period.
