By train to the most beautiful Christmas markets: Additional journeys between Cologne and Dortmund main station
The Advent season is here and with it the opportunity to visit some of the most beautiful Christmas markets in NRW! Whether it's the world's largest Christmas tree in Dortmund or the festively illuminated markets in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Duisburg, Mülheim, Essen and Bochum - each of these cities offers something special in the run-up to Christmas.
By train to the Christmas market
Additional trains will be running so that you can get to the Christmas markets in comfort during the Advent weekends. The transport company Train Rental GmbH (TRI) is offering additional connections on sections of the RE 1 (RRX) line between Cologne and Dortmund on Saturdays 6 December, 15 December and 20 December.
There will also be individual journeys with more space for passengers on the RE 2 and RE 42 lines.
