General information

The DeutschlandTicket Job is a personal, non-transferable subscription ticket issued in the name of your employees. With the ticket, your employees can travel throughout Germany all month long, around the clock. The benefits correspond to those of the DeutschlandTicket. The ticket is valid from the 1st day of the selected month and can be cancelled monthly. It is the environmentally friendly flat rate not only for travelling to work, but also for leisure time.

The DeutschlandTicket Job is not only cheaper for your company and/or your employees, you can also travel throughout Germany with the ticket.

Conclusion of contract & costs

To be able to apply for the DeutschlandTicket Job, there is a minimum requirement: the employer must grant a subsidy of at least 25% (up to a maximum of 100% cost coverage) on the issue price of €49.00. The transport company then grants a 5% discount on the issue price of €49.00. The transport company then grants a 5% discount on the issue price of €49.00. There is no minimum purchase quantity for you as a company with the DeutschlandTicket Job.

If your company would like to apply for the DeutschlandTicket Job for its employees for the first time, an employer's declaration (application form) is required from the company as well as the order forms for the individual employees. By signing the application form, your company orders the DeutschlandTicket Job for its employees.

Orders for the DeutschlandTicket Job are placed using the order forms provided. The employer is obliged to inform the transport company of any changes (e.g. change of name, departure from the company, change of address of employees, etc.).

If your employees already use the CompanyTicket, you can also offer them the DeutschlandTicket Job with a contract amendment. For employees who have not yet had a ticket, a new contract for the DeutschlandTicket Job is required.

Employees who no longer need the DeutschlandTicket can cancel their subscription free of charge by the 10th of the month to the end of the month. Cancellation must be made in writing directly to the local transport company.

The validity of the application is linked to the actual introduction of the DeutschlandTicket and the associated fully financed and agreed term of the federal government. The application loses its validity at the time of termination of the DeutschlandTicket without the need for cancellation.

Supplements, carry-over regulations, transferability

The DeutschlandTicket Job does not include bicycle transport. There are various options for travelling with a bicycle. For individual journeys with bicycle transport in the VRR, there is the FahrradTicket for 4.20 euros, which is valid for 24 hours from the time of validation. For regular transport on the VRR, you can use the monthly bicycle ticket or the bicycle subscription ticket . This can be purchased for 31.70 euros per month for all DeutschlandTicket variants - including the DeutschlandTicket Job - and is valid throughout the VRR. If you want to take your bike with you anywhere in NRW, you can purchase the NRW Bicycle Day Ticket for 5.55 euros per day or the NRW Upgrade Bicycle for 42.50 euros per month.

The DeutschlandTicket Job does not normally include 1st class travel. If you would like to travel 1st class on local trains, you have various options. For single journeys in 1st class in the VRR, there is the ZusatzTicket, which you can purchase for 4.20 euros per journey.

For regular journeys, the 1st class monthly ticket or the 1st class subscription ticket can be purchased for an additional 50.30 euros per month in VRR.

For journeys throughout NRW, the NRWupgrade1.Klasse is available for 75.20 euros per month. For individual journeys throughout NRW, the VRR additional 1st class ticket for €4.20 is required for travelling within the VRR area, plus the EinfachWeiterTicket NRW 1st class for €11.70 per journey.

Like the regular DeutschlandTicket, the DeutschlandTicket Job is valid nationwide on all public transport networks and with all local transport companies. Your employees can use the ticket on all local transport vehicles in 2nd class, i.e. all buses, trams, city trains and underground trains as well as S-Bahn trains, regional trains and regional express trains.

The ticket may not be used in 1st class and is not valid on long-distance services (e.g. ICE, IC, EC) or with private providers such as FlixTrain. You can only use the DeutschlandTicket Job in 1st class with an additional product, such as the 1st class supplementary ticket.

Yes, if the bus or train is delayed by 20 minutes or more at the departure stop, you can travel directly to your actual destination by IC, EC or ICE train or by taxi or a sharing service. When using a taxi or sharing system, the costs are reimbursed on a pro rata basis, up to 30 euros per person during the day and up to 60 euros between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. at night.

The DeutschlandTicket Job, in the app or as a chip card, is personalised and therefore cannot be passed on or lent. Only you are authorised to travel with the ticket. You must always carry a photo ID with you.

The DeutschlandTicket Job does not include passenger transport. Accompanying persons under the age of six can travel free of charge, as children only need their own ticket from the age of six.

If you are checked, you simply need to show the QR code from the app or the chip card and an official photo ID.
