1,111 muTiger training courses for more civil courage

The muTiger Foundation has been campaigning for more civil courage and helpfulness in society since 2011. Its central concern is to empower people to act courageously, responsibly and safely in critical situations - without endangering themselves. The foundation's 1,111th training session took place on June 6. A special milestone that was celebrated at the Joblingen in Essen.

Why the muTiger Foundation was created

The muTiger Foundation was set up by the KÖTTER Group and the Rhine-Ruhr Transport Authority (VRR ). It responds to a growing number of critical situations in public spaces such as assaults, racism and bullying. This shows that people are willing to help, but many lack the courage or the necessary knowledge to act correctly in such situations without endangering themselves. The muTiger training courses teach precisely these skills. They encourage people to act.

The anniversary training in Essen

On 6 June, the muTiger Foundation held its 1,111th training session at Joblingen in Essen. The anniversary commemorates the beginning of the joint work, as one of the first training sessions started there around 14 years ago. The training marks an important milestone and builds on the foundation's beginnings. Ernst Nieland, master trainer from the very beginning, led the training. He was instrumental in developing the training content together with the police, the KÖTTER Academy and the KÖTTER Group.

A lasting success

More than 17,000 people have taken part in the training courses since they were founded. The muTiger Foundation remains an important building block for more courage and cohesion in everyday life.
