Bridge work leads to restrictions on the S4 line
Due to bridge work, there will be partial cancellations on the S 4 line between Dortmund-Stadthaus and Unna from Monday, 22 July 2024 (0:15 a.m.) until probably Sunday, 15 December 2024 (2:00 a.m.).
Background
Due to tunnel work in the Lütgendortmund area, there will be further cancellations on the S 4 line between Dortmund-Dorstfeld and Dortmund-Lütgendortmund from 5 November 2024 to 15 December 2024 between 8:40 pm and 2 am. In this case, buses will also run as a replacement for the cancelled trains.
Buses will run as a replacement. Please also note that the Unna West, Unna-Königsborn and Unna stops will be served in a different order. The detailed timetables can be found in the electronic timetable information systems.
In addition, due to various roadworks in Dortmund-Asseln, Dortmund-Körne West and Dortmund-Knappschaftskrankenhaus, buses will be travelling to different stops than usual.

The timetable changes are included in the VRR and DB online timetable information before the start of the construction work.
Tickets are not available on the buses. They can be purchased online via the app or at the stations (not at the bus stops) from the ticket machines or in the customer centres.
